Harcourt Applefest returns this weekend

Just three sleeps are left until the annual Harcourt Applefest, happening this Saturday, March 7th.

2026’s event will be the first to run since a bushfire tore through the town back in January.

Mount Alexander Shire is throwing its support behind the festival, with the council’s CEO Darren Fuzzard telling the Wake Up Call:

“It’s going to be a huge event [with] market stalls, live music, food trucks, the annual art show… and of course lots of apples and apple pies, as always.”

A brand-new stage has been installed in James Park for the occasion, which Mr Fuzzard said will be a “permanent fixture” for the festival going forward.

“And we just want to say a really big ‘Thank You’ to Community Bank – Maldon & District, the Harcourt Rotary, Harcourt Lions Club and also Harcourt Valley Heritage & Tourist Centre for putting some financial support [forward] at very short notice for that project, and also a really special ‘Well Done’ to our staff and our contractor, who made that all happen in a very short time…”
