A two-car collision has occurred east of Bendigo, resulting in multiple people being injured.
Paramedics responded to reports of a crash along the McIvor Highway at Junortoun around 2.05pm on Tuesday, June 30th.
“A specialist Air Ambulance Helicopter crew, Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance (MICA) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedics assessed and treated four patients at the scene,” an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson says.
“A woman in her 40s was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious condition with upper body injuries.
“A woman in her 20s with minor injuries and a teenage boy with lower body injuries were transported by road ambulance to Bendigo Hospital in stable conditions.
“A man in a serious condition was also transported by road ambulance to Bendigo Hospital.”
Victoria Police officers also attended the scene but the force declined to comment when contacted by Gold Central Victoria.
While the cause is unknown, the incident happened on a very wet day for the region, with 56.2mm – or roughly a month’s worth of rain – recorded at Bendigo Airport between midnight and 2.30pm.
