Parents are being urged to check their Babybee toddler board after a recall was issued over a potentially dangerous detachable seat.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has issued a recall for certain Babybee Toddler Boards with detachable seats, after reports that the seat can break away from the main pole while being used.
The problem could cause a child to fall from the seat, with the recall notice warning of a risk of serious injury. Incidents have already occurred.
Check Your Batch Number
Importantly, the toddler board itself isn’t being recalled. The recall only applies to the detachable seat.
Parents should check the underside of their Babybee toddler board for one of four affected batch numbers:
X-001, X-002, X-012A or X-015D
The affected products were sold nationally online between 10 February 2025 and 16 August 2026.
What Should Parents Do?
If you have one of the affected batch numbers, stop using the detachable seat immediately and remove it from the toddler board.
The toddler board can still be used in standing mode without the seat.
Parents should then register their affected product with Babybee. A replacement detachable seat will be provided free of charge, with replacements expected to become available from early October.
The affected seat can be disposed of in your regular household waste.
If you’ve got a Babybee toddler board at home, it might be worth checking that batch number today. Better safe than sorry when it comes to the little ones.
