With decades of experience in retail clothing, it should come as no surprise that Rinaldi’s Fashion is the ‘go-to’ place for women’s fashion in the Central Goldfields.

Linda Rinaldi clearly remembers the day Rinaldi’s officially opened its doors for business in 1995.

“Originally, my Aunty Linda and her husband Digger Woolman owned Muriel’s Salon selling women’s fashion and underwear. It was right in the spot we are in now.

“My parents (Judy and Barry Rinaldi) bought that shop off them before Digger passed away.

That would have to be 40 years ago now.”

Noticing a void in younger fashion, Linda’s mother opened a second shop called Circe. Linda joined the family business when she was 17, so it would be fair to say she knows the business inside out.

While the shops – and a smaller lingerie shop – were successful, the age of the buildings meant that renovation was unviable. The decision was made to demolish the buildings that housed the three stores and rebuild from the ground up. And so, Rinaldi’s was born.

“We offer a range of fashion for all ages, sizes and occasions,” Linda said.

“I think that’s why we have been successful. Whether it’s a special night out, an outfit for the office or comfy clothes for sitting by the fire, most women can come in here and find what they are looking for.”

Although Rinaldi’s have adapted to modern times – with online shopping proving popular – it is still the old fashioned face-to-face service that people keep coming back for.

“We have a lot of customers who make the trip from out-of-town to shop here because the bigger towns don’t have independent fashion stores, they tend to have mainly chain stores.

“I’ve even had customers tell me they plan their trip to the area to coincide with our sales, which is lovely to hear.”
