Bendigo’s premier Alt-Rock act Earth Cadet are back with new single ‘Apocalypse Dreams’. Fresh off releasing fan-favourite track ‘Parapets’ earlier in April, Earth Cadet are back with a riff-rocking 2:19 barn burner.

Fuelled in equal parts by millennial nihilism and major-key early 90s rock reminiscent of “Gish era” Smashing Pumpkins or “Slip era” Quicksand, ‘Apocalypse Dreams’ feels both nostalgic and fresh. From the ear-worming riff, to the searing guitar solo, it’s one to put on repeat whenever you need a cup of coffee but it’s after 3PM and all the café’s are closed.

Earth Cadet is the latest project from Sam Edmonds. A vision of the future that borrows heavily from the past; Earth Cadet is a fresh take on 90’s grunge, shoegaze, punk and arena rock.

“I write pop melodies and guitar riffs for the modern attention span,” says Edmonds. “Rock and roll is immediate, it’s good to come back to that.”

The self produced project draws from an extensive history in the Australian music scene and is fast building a fervent following locally. Expect a ton of music in 2024.
