Keep cool at Discovery this summer with a program that’s set to make a big splash!
Splish Splash will take visitors into the world of water – how important it is, and just how powerful it can be. And for budding engineers, there’s a making challenge that will float their boat. The program runs from December 27th to January 29th, 2018 and is designed to entertain, educate and inspire the young scientist in everyone.
The Splish Splash Science Show will share the story of a budding super hero – whose special power is water. Learn that water has some super cool powers that can amaze and entertain. And there will be the traditional science show explosion! The show runs for 20 minutes and will be on at noon and two o’clock.
This summer the planetarium has been converted into a Planaquarium. You'll go under the sea with 270 degree vision. After the cooling of the sea you will see the night sky. Screening times are at 11.30, 12.30 and 1.30 daily, at no extra cost, but with some seating restrictions.
The Centre's hands-on activity will be really cool – and perhaps just a little wet! They have designed a making challenge which will use water to power a boat. Tinker with design and learn how hydraulic pressure works. The Splish Splash Maker Activity runs from 11.30 to 2.30 daily.
Bendigo's Discovery Science & Technology Centre is open every day of the school holidays except New Years Day and Australia Day.
