Fireworks - Bendigo - New Year's Eve

The City of Greater Bendigo will once again present an early fireworks display at 9.15pm on New Year’s Eve, in addition to the traditional fireworks at midnight to celebrate the start of 2018.

To allow the fireworks to take place safely, there will be an 85 metre exclusion zone surrounding the Rosalind Park tower, and the car park off Gaol Road will be closed from 6am Sunday December 31st, 2017 until approximately 9am Monday January 1st, 2018.

The noise of fireworks make can often frighten animals, so a reminder to make sure that pets are securely confined on New Year’s Eve.

The City’s local laws prohibit the consumption of alcohol in public places within the CBD without an appropriate liquor licence. The proclaimed area is bound by Don/Myrtle Streets, Barnard Street, Water/Baxter Streets and Bramble/Mundy/McLaren Streets.

The fireworks display will be cancelled if a Total Fire Ban is declared on Sunday December 31st.
