Bendigo was awarded runner-up at last night’s 2023 Victorian TAC Tourism Town Award ceremony, with the title going to Ballarat.
Bendigo was shortlisted as a finalist in the top regional town category earlier this year, revered for its “stunning European heritage architecture and beautiful parks and gardens”, the Bendigo Art Gallery, and “award-winning restaurants, breweries, and cellar doors”.
In the top small tourism town category, Heathcote and Woodend received 2nd and 3rd respectively.

In 2022, Bendigo claimed the top prize in the Top Tourism Town category, while Heathcote won bronze in the Top Small Tourism Town category.
