The Mount Macedon man behind the wheel in a horrific collision that killed 5 people outside a Daylesford pub last month has faced court.
William Herbert Swale allegedly ignored nine alarm notifications to check his blood glucose levels in the immediate lead-up to the crash.
Detectives charged Swale with five counts of culpable driving causing death, two counts of negligently causing serious injury, and seven counts of reckless conduct endangering life.
The 66-year-old appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court by video link from custody at the Melbourne West Police Station, for a bail hearing after being charged yesterday.
The bail decision has been reserved until Friday.
