As the threat of flooding subsidies, Central Victorians are left to clean up the debris as local councils are tasked with organising recovery efforts.
Funding for flood recovery is 50/50 split between the Federal and State Governments, on request of the State. Acting Victorian Premier, Ben Carol is currently meeting with Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese to discuss activating the joint funds.
Federal Member for Bendigo, Lisa Chesters, says she is expecting an announcement later today.
