Parliamentary Inquiry Threatens to End Victoria’s Duck Hunting Season

A Labor-led parliamentary inquiry recommends the divisive pursuit of duck hunting in Victoria be banned with the inquiry beating previous records by having more than 10,500 submissions.

The Sporting Shooters Association of Australia – Victorian branch – has urged the government to instead work with the hunting community to reform the way the sport is managed.

The Liberal member for Northern Victoria, Wendy Lovell says the science does not back the ending of the hunting season.
