Bendigo’s council will tonight consider whether to grant a permit for a Strathdfieldsaye development that includes a 24/7 gym, creche and commercial office spaces.

Council officers have concluded that the proposed complex at 909 Wellington Street and 6 Uxbridge Street would address the needs of the growing Bendigo suburb.
It has recommended the two-story development.

However, 5 objections have been raised from locals on a series of issues, including the hours of operation, noise, traffic and parking as well as the removal of native vegetation.
The local government will primarily consider issues with amenities, parking and other concerns from objectors.
