A Western Region police officer will find out whether sexual assault charges will be dropped.
The Strathfieldsaye officer fronted the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court charged with three counts of sexual assault.
The Herald Sun reports the Bendigo sexual offences and child abuse investigation police unit allege the former officer sexually assaulted a woman in April last year while off duty.

The accused is applying to have the charges dropped.
