Bendigo Challenger in full swing

 tennis

Steve Johnson of the USA and Roberto Carballes Baena of Spain have both made it through to the next round of the Bendigo Challenger at the Fosterville
Gold Tennis Centre.

The American No.4 seed was made to work hard for his 3 set victory over Greek Markos Kalovelonis, while No.2 seed, Baena, proved too good for Australian Jai Corbett with a 6-0 6-4 win.

It was a good day for the Australians with four others progressing.

Day three action will see Australian Open wildcard Christopher O'Connell begin his campaign against Liam Caruana of Italy.
