Operation Regal results

More than 550 speeding offences were recorded throughout central Victoria over the Queen's birthday long weekend.

Releasing figures about the success of Operation Regal yesterday, police recorded close to 700 traffic offences and 556 speeding offences over the 3 day operation.

Police also found 70 people who were driving with drugs or alcohol in their system while 13 cars were impounded and 13 people received a ticket for using their mobile phone behind the wheel.

Across the state over 3,400 speeding offences were recorded with close to 500 people busted for drink or drug driving.
