Macedon Ranges family claims $36 million Powerball prize

A young Macedon Ranges family is now over $36 million richer after claiming their share of last week's Powerball.

They were one of three Division One winners to split the record $110 million prize, but their identify was unknown until they checked their numbers on Saturday when they found out they had won the cash.

The winning ticket was purchased from Mid-Town Lotto in Gisborne Central Shopping Centre, with owner John Kelly ecstatic that they sold one of the Division One winners.

The new multi-millionaires, who wish to remain anonymous, say they're still unsure what they will do with their winnings, but always said if they ever won they would give some to causes that matter to them.
