Man faces court over disappearance of Shae Francis

The man accused of the death of missing Hervey Bay woman Shae Francis will return to court next month.

Jason Cooper, who was arrested in Bendigo in June before being extradited to Queensland, has been charged with manslaughter, interference with a corpse and stealing after Ms Francis disappearaed in October last year.

She was visiting a family member in hospital in Hervey Bay, but hasn't been seen since.

Cooper appeared briefly in the Brisbane Magistrates' Court yesterday, and has been remanded in custody.

He will return to court in Hervey Bay on August 8.
