Investigations are continuing into what caused yesterday's accident at Bendigo airport.
The north-south runway was closed for just over 4 hours after a light plane that was practicing a simulated emergency was forced to make a hard landing just after 10am.
Emergency crews attended the scene to help deal with the fuel spill while no one was injured.
Police say it's unclear whether the crash was a result of human error or a mechanical fault while the investigation will now be conducted by Recreation Aviation Australia.
