The inquest into the death of Tanya day will have its last hearing today.
The 3 week long inquest will hear from Victoria Police Superintendent Sue Thomas and members of Ms Day's family.
Yesterday coronial investigator Detective Senior Constable Scott Riley said it's not "best practice" to re-question police officers about their inconsistent statements over the Yorta Yorta woman's death.
The 55 year old died as a result of a brain haemorrhage 17 days after she hit her head in a police cell in Castlemaine, where she was arrested for public drunkenness in December 2017.
