Monday's proposed bus strike has been called off after an agreement was reached between a local bus company and the Transport Workers Union..
The TWU issued a notice to strike against Christian's Bus Company on Tuesday, with its workers demanding their pay be in line with the rising cost of living.
Drivers were set to walk off the job all day on Monday, September 23, which would affect local services, but after discussions between the union and bus company this week, the issue has been resolved, resulting in the strike being suspended.
It means buses in Bendigo will be operating as per usual from the first service on Monday.
