GP crisis in Central Victoria

Up to 250 people are being turned away from the primary care centre at Bendigo Health.

Appointments at the centre fill quickly each morning and is the latest blow amid the ongoing GP crisis here in town after a number of doctors closed their books last month.

Yesterday, Shadow Health Minister Chris Bowen visited health services around town with local MP Lisa Chesters to discuss the issues firsthand.

It comes as Labor continues to develop their policies as the federal opposition while calling on the government to do more when it comes to health right around the country.
