English ice dancers Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean won gold medals and received the highest scores ever in an figure skating event at The Olympic Games on the 12th of February 1984.
The couple had won three world championships prior to the Olympics and chose Ravel's Bolero as their music.
They received twelve perfect 6.0s and six 5.9s which included artistic impression scores of 6.0 from every judge.
It was one of the most watched television events ever in the United Kingdom with a British television audience of more than 24 million people.
