Singer and songwriter Michael Bolton is 67 today.
Michael released his self titled debut album in 1975 using his birthname Bolotin but it failed.
He changed his surname to Bolton and in '83 he cracked the American top 100 with the single Fool's Game from his third album.
In '87 the song That's What Love Is All About made the US top 20 and was a minor hit in Australia.
His breakthrough came in the same year when his cover of the Otis Redding song (Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay was a worldwide smash, reaching Number 3 in Australia.
In '89 the single How Am I Supposed To Live Without You and album Soul Provider both reached Number 1.
In the 90's Michael had further hits like Love Is A Wonderful Thing, Said I Loved You...But I Lied and Can I Touch You There?
Michael also covered Motown classics like When A Man Loves A Woman, To Love Somebody, Reach Out I'll Be There and Lean On Me.
From the year 2000 to now Michael has released twelve studio albums of various different styles and genres.
