On average Australian children spend around two and a half hours a day on electronic devices with one in ten, or more than 436,460 children, spending more than four hours.

Sometimes these devices are called digital babysitters with children spending time away from mum and dad or grandparents.

Using these devices disrupts sleeping which can lead to insomnia.

Optometrist are seeing an increase in children coming in for an eye test and Barbara Vermeulen spokesperson from Specsavers joined Daniel on The Home Stretch.
