De-Feet MND - Shelley Cleary

Imagine going to the local doctor, getting some tests done and receiving the news that "You have been diagnosed with MND".


Sadly that has happened to Benidgo local Bruce Trembath and his family, his families world turned upside down and normal life came to a crashing halt. The rapid progression of MND meant that within six weeks Bruce had lost the ability to walk as well as the use of his arms.

This Sunday will be a fundraiser for MND Victoria around Lake Weeroona from 10:30am to 12:30pm and you're invited to take part in the walk.

Shelley Cleary, daughter of Bruce Trembath joined Daniel on The Home Stretch to speak about Bruce's health and the battle with this disease.

In the last financial year MND Victoria:
Supported 597 people living with MND in Victoria.
Had 8,222 individual contacts with people living with MND, including Advisors who work on on one with each client to navigate the NDIS or aged care system.
Provided 2,654 pieces of vital assistive technology equipment and aids to people living with MND anywhere in Victoria at no cost and no limits on the number of items provided, or the time kept.
