Actor, singer & musician Micky Dolenz is 74 on the 8th of March.
Micky's career in entertainment began in 1956 when he appeared on the tv show Circus Boy playing Corky.
His first foray in music came as lead singer in the band Micky & The One-Nighters.
In '65 he was cast in the tv show The Monkees as drummer and some times singer.
The show only ran for two seasons but was a huge success with the band having hits singles like I'm A Believer, Last Train To Clarksville, Daydream Believer and A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You.
Whilst the band sang the vocals of their songs, they did not play their instruments.
Micky has released solo recordings and also toured with different Monkees line ups over the last 50 years.
Sadly other Monkees Peter Tork died last month and Davy Jones in 2012.
Mickey and other surviving Monkee Mike Nesmith have a national tour planned for June.
