The Unforgettable Brian Eno

Musician and producer Brian Eno is 71 on the 15th of May.


Brian started experimenting with music while still in school and he became involved with an orchestra.

He joined Roxy Music in 1971 and played on the band's first three albums, leaving in '73.

He then turned to a solo career releasing albums described as "experimental".

As a producer, some of his early work was with Genesis and David Bowie.

In the late 70's he produced albums by Ultravox, Devo and Talking Heads.

In '84 he worked with Daniel Lanois producing U2's fourth album The Unforgettable Fire and this lead to long and successful relationship with the band.

Brian also produced the U2 albums The Joshua Tree, Zooropa, Actung Baby and No Line On The Horizon.

Other artists that Brian has worked with include Coldplay, Grace Jones and Sinead O'Connor.
