Singer, songwriter, DJ and tv talent show judge Boy George is 58 on the 14th of June.
In the early 80's George was a part of the new romantic movement in Britain hanging out with the likes of Steve Strange and Marilyn.
He temporarily joined Bow Wow Wow as singer before forming Culture Club with Mikey Craig, Jon Moss and Roy Hay.
The band's debut album Kissing To Be Clever was an instant hit and the group dominated the charts in the 80's with songs like Do You Really Want To Hurt Me, Karma Chameleon and Miss Me Blind.
After four hit albums the band imploded with group infighting and George's drug use out of control.
As a solo artist George recorded two great songs, The Crying Game and a cover of the Bread song Everything I Own.
Culture Club reformed in '98 and have recorded and toured on and off.
George became a coach on The Voice Australia in 2017 after appearing on the UK version.
