The Live 8 benefit concert was held on the 2nd of July 2005.
The event was organised by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, 20 years after the charity concert Live Aid.
The concert took place in the G8 countries and also in South Africa.
Some of the highlights included Paul McCartney and U2 opening with Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, Roger Waters rejoining Pink Floyd for a one off performance, Robbie Williams opening his set with We Will Rock You, Brian Wilson playing a Beach Boys medley in Germany and Stevie Wonder being joined by Rob Thomas and Adam Levine to close the American concert.
More than 1,000 artists performed and the concerts was broadcast to 182 tv networks.
