No More Waiting For John's Birthday

Singer, songwriter and musician John Waite is 67 on the 4th of July.

In the 70's he fronted British rock band The Babys having hits like Isn't it Time and Everytime I Think Of You.

The band split in 1980 and John launched a solo career.

The single Change was a hit in '81 and later appeared on the soundtrack of the movie Vision Quest.

John's biggest hit came in '84 when Missing You became a world wide smash.

In '88 he formed Bad English with two other bandmates from The Babys and Neil Schon from Journey.

The band had the hits When I See You Smile, Possession and Price Of Love.

After two albums John returned to his solo career.

He continues to release new music and toured Australia last year.

Having interviewed John, the writer can say he is one of true nice guys of the music industry.
