Remembering a Cool Daddy

Daddy Cool guitarist Ross Hannaford died two years ago today, on the 8th of March 2016.

Ross Hannaford met future Daddy Cool lead singer Ross Wilson in the mid 60's and formed The Pink Finks.

In 1970 Hannaford and Wilson were joined by Wayne Duncan on bass and Gary Young on drums to form Daddy Cool.

The band's first single Eagle Rock became a rock anthem and further singles Come Back Again and Hi Honey Ho always rocked the Aussie charts.

After just three years together, the band broke up in 1972.

Ross was a part of the bands Mighty Kong and Relax with Max and also took part in Daddy Cool reunions in 1974, a one off concert in 2005 and tour in 2006.

Ross is regarded as one of our finest rock guitarists.
