All Rhodes Lead to Nick

Musican and producer Nick Rhodes is 56 on the 8th of June.

Nick left school at 16 in 1978 and formed pop group Duran Duran with John Taylor on guitar, Simon Colley on bass and Stephen Duffy on vocals.

After a few band members coming and going, the classic line up settled in May 1980.

The band's first single Planet Earth and their self titled debut album were hits and the rest is history.

The band became known for their catchy pop hits and stylish fashion.

Nick was also a member of the Duran side project Arcadia and he produced the Number 1 hit Too Shy for Kajagoogoo.

Only Nick and Simon Le Bon have appeared on all of Duran Duran's 14 studio albums.
