"Picnic At Hanging Rock" At Hanging Rock

Pack a picnic and rug, and come along to Hanging Rock on Saturday 17th February to experience a screening of Peter Weir’s iconic film ‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’ under the stars. This outdoor cinema event is the perfect way to enjoy the stunning views as the sun sets behind the Rock.
‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’ was filmed in 1975 and is based on the 1967 novel by Joan Lindsay. Considered an Australian cinematic classic, the movie continues to fascinate audiences with its intriguing tale.
Tickets are $25 per adult, $10 for children and $60 for a family and can be pre-purchased online at mrsc.vic.gov.au/filmnight, until 2pm on Friday 16th February.
Tickets can also be purchased from the gate on the night but note there are no EFTPOS facilities available. Gates will open at 7pm, with the film beginning at approximately 8.15pm.
Patrons are advised to bring along a jacket or jumper for later in the evening, and something to sit on such as a deck chair or blanket, as no seats will be provided. Picnic dinners are also welcome.
