The battle for the ultra-marginal electorate of Ripon is heating up.

Incumbent Liberal MP Louise Staley won the vote by a mere 15 votes in 2018.
Political expert Geoff Robinson from Deakin University said it’s likely to go down to the wire again.

“Liberals did well last time. It was a disappointment for Labor,” he said.
He added that “provincial city areas” are pretty good for Labor, concluding that the party could “narrowly win” the seat.
