Bendigo Police are appealing for the public to register their parties ahead of the summer months.

Senior sergeant Brad Hyatt has told Robbo this morning that there’s just looking for basic info.
“The type of party, whether it be an 18th, 21st or 60th, what time the party going to, have the neighbours been notified, is alcohol being served, all those little things.”

He said that often simply telling the police you’re having the party, it can avoid the party being shut down and “ruining” a night.
“Even by our presence and patrol in the area, it’s a really good thing to deter a group 30 or 40 uninvited guests turning up,” Srgt Hyatt said.
