The Young Carers Network is supporting the approximately 1,538 young carers in the Greater Bendigo region with a grant program supported by the Federal Government.
The grants offer up to 3768 dollars for young carers aged 12-25 to assist with educational costs while they provide unpaid care to family, friends, or loved ones with applications closing on the 12 September.
CEO of Carers Australia, Liz Callaghan, says the role of carer can be hard for young people.
