Paramedics assessed a person at the scene of the chemical spill that closed down Castlemaine streets.
Residents of the town south of Bendigo were asked to stay indoors as Hazmat teams cleaned up a dangerous spill on the Pyrenees Highway.
Police continue to investigate the crash where two hundred litres of chloride solution and caustic soda spilled onto the highway yesterday.
