Community Camp Program Returns to the Region

The North Melbourne and Essendon AFL squads will be travelling up the Calder in early February for the long-awaited return of the community training camps.

The Dons will be training in Castlemaine and Bendigo on February 9th and 10th, with an open training session at the QEO from 10am. 
 
Meanwhile, the Kangas will travel to Rochester and Bendigo on the 13th and 14th of February.

Essendon Executive general manger of community, Indigenous affairs & The Long Walk Leanne Brooke said it’s a fantastic opportunity for Essendon to get back into regional communities.
 
“Football means so much to the people in regional and rural communities. It brings people together with great connection and is often the heartbeat of regional towns,” she said. 
 

More than 700 AFL players will be back visiting communities, meeting fans and inspiring the next generation in person.
