The Central Goldfields shire council has urged prospectors to not dig holes on local government-owned land after a spate of incidents at Jubilee Park.

13 holes were dug at the oval overnight on Tuesday, which follows on from a similar incident at Phillips Gardens in 2022.
The council says they welcome people prospecting, however it is not permitted on council land.

In 2021, a total of 40 holes were dug in the Phillips gardens and Princes Park.
