DATA: Bendigo Wildlife Supporters Outway Shooters

In the fight to ban native bird shooting across Victoria, RSPCA Victoria, Animals Australia, and Wildlife Victoria have collaborated to deliver data displaying how Central Victorians feel towards recreational duck and quail shooting.

The data shows that there are more people in support animal welfare throughout Central Victoria than those who hold the license to shoot native birds.

Across Bendigo, 880 people own duck hunting licenses but a total of 1,472 residents support animal welfare.

Animal Justice Party Member for Northern Victoria, Georgie Purcell, says it’s time for victoria to catch up with Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia who have already implemented the ban.
