Candidates in the seat of Bendigo West fielded questions from the public at an election forum at Kangaroo Flat’s Y Services club last night.

The most prominent local issues that the five candidates debated were on housing supply, the environment, the government’s COVID-19 response and public transport.
The event was run by Bendigo Sustainability Group, Bike Bendigo and the Central Victorian branch of the Australian Conservation Foundation.

A scorecard based on all the candidates answers will be published on the Bendigo Sustainability Group’s website.
It was the first of several local forums, with another being run at the Bendigo East Hall on Thursday the 17th of November at 7pm for voters in Bendigo East.
