Gisborne Golf Clubhouse Burnt Down in Suspicious Blaze

A fire at the Gisborne Golf Club’s Clubhouse, which broke out just after 2:30 this morning, is being treated as suspicious.

Emergency services declared the scene safe at 4:22 am and will remain on the scene throughout the day.

20 CFA and FRV trucks responded to the blaze on Daly St in Gisborne.

Authorities warn that locals may see or smell smoke in the area.

Daly St will be closed until further notice.
