Herbert to Challenge Amateurs In Thursday’s Christmas Challenge

Bendigo professional golfer Lucas Herbert is again expected to challenge amateurs as part of the Bendigo Golf Club’s Christmas challenge, which starts this Thursday.

The club’s general manager Brock Rogers telling Mark on The Sideline View that it’s great he makes an appearance every year. 
 
“It goes to show more about the character and the individual he is,” he said.

“He’s proven that even from a country town like Bendigo, if you put mind to it you and [you] hard work, you can make your dreams come true.” 
 
He added that his course  is “one of the lucky ones” because the course has bounced back beautifully after the floods. 
 
The club announced that the Open 4 Ball category will be named after former president Andrew Johnston.

The events runs for four days with tee off with Ladies 4BBB starting from 9.30am.
