Jail Time For Moliagul Farmer Who Grew Weed to Treat Wife’s Epilepsy

A Moliagul farmer who grew medicinal cannabis to treat his wife’s epileptic seizures has been jailed for almost three years.

Christo Quinn’s house was raided back in May 2021, where officers found 66 kilograms of dried cannabis and more than 150 plants, weighing more than 250 kilograms. 
 
The court previously heard that 41 kilograms of the dried marijuana was for personal and medical use.

However, he pleaded guilty to trafficking and cultivating a commercial quantity of cannabis.
 
The 52-year-old farmer of three decades was described as kind and caring man, who had a history of volunteering. 
 
He will be eligible for parole after 14 months.
