Life Changing VCE Results Come Through for Bendigo Students

The lives of many VCE students in Central Victoria have changed  yesterday, following the release of ATAR scores.

Some of the top performers from across Bendigo were Girton Grammar dux Dhurv Gupta, who scored a impressive 99.8, Catherine McAuley College’s Lochlan Tresize, who earned a 99.35 and Bendigo Senior Secondary College’s Jeremy Krietemeyer, who chalked up 97.65.
 
Girton Grammar perfromed well overall, having 30 percent finish in the top 10 percent of the state.

Principal of Girton Grammar Dr Emma O’Reilly said while results are important for some students, education is more than just a ranking. 
 
“Academic achievement is something we absolutely celebrate here at Girton, but we do take a holistic approach to social and emotional learning as well,” he said. 
 
Dr O’Reilly said it’s the student’s ability to “impact their world” that is the one of the most profound aspects of education.
