Local Business Facing $1 Million in Fines

A Central Victorian business, Macedon Lounge, could be one of the first operators in the state to face punishment under the new wage theft laws.

Macedon Lounge owner Gaurav Setia could face 10 years in jail and more than 1 million dollars in fines, if found guilty of not paying $7000 in wages. 
 
The Wage Inspectorate of Victoria has filed 94 criminal charges in the Magistrates Court against the Macedon restaurant.
