Locals will pay their respects to fallen Australian servicemen and women this morning for Remembrance Day.

The main commemorative service will be held at the Soldiers Memorial Institute on Pall Mall at 10.30am.

Meanwhile, another service will be held at Eaglehawk at 10.45am.

President of the Bendigo RSL Peter Swandale said the most important thing is to stop and remember at 11am.

“You don’t have to be at a service,” he said.

He said it’s fine to pay tribute “wherever you are, your workplace, and things like that”.
