Bendigo Spirit has suffered a bruising fifth-straight defeat to the Perth Lynx in the second last game of the WNBL home and away season.

The Spirit trailed by 13 points at half time, eventually losing by 19.
Reigning MVP Anneli Maley top scored with 16 points, picking up 9 rebounds as well.

The loss sees the side slip out of the top four and their chances of a finals berth stacked against them.
They play top the table Townsville fire in the last round of the year on Wednesday at Red Energy Arena.
