Man Unsure How He Ended Up in Maryborough Prior to Crime Spree

An unemployed man with no fixed address, who sacked his lawyer and represented himself in court, has been sentenced to more than two months in prison for breaking into properties, theft and smashing a bus window.

Jake Grey pleaded guilty to a range of offences, including trespassing and theft, at the Bendigo Magistrates Court this week. 
 
CCTV video footage captured Grey making a cup of coffee and leaving his boots at an op-shop in Maryborough after one of the break ins.

Victoria Police then later discovered his fingerprints on the sugar and coffee jars.
 
The unemployed man said in court that because of a prescription drugs, he was unsure how he actually ended up in Maryborough prior to his crimes.
 
He was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
