Millions in Road Repairs for the Loddon Shire

The Loddon shire is anticipating that it will need to spend almost 10 ten times its annual road expenditure while attending to the damage caused by last October’s floods. 
 
The total cost is expected to hit $60 million. 
 
The federal government recently announced more than $2 million has been tipped in as part of the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.

According to the VicRoads website, several roads remain closed in the region, including Hopper Road near Mitiamo, Prairie-Rochester Road, as well as Billings and Barraport-Minmindie Roads near Boort. 

An estimated 273km of gravel roads are needing to be re-sheeted.
